Colheitas are ports that are aged in barrels after a single harvest. The minimum age is seven years, but the tradition at Quinta da Devesa is to age them for several more years before bottling. The wine matures in our cellars in ‘balseiros’, ‘tonéis’ or 550-litre barrels. This Porto Colheita 2000 White presents us with an excellent bouquet, a very crisp acidity, thanks to its complexity, refined quality and long finish.
This white Colheita displays a lively straw-yellow hue. The aroma is deep and rich, with enveloping notes of walnuts and dried figs that enhance its authenticity. On the palate, it is delicate and complex, with a silky texture and rounded, polished tannins that balance the acidity. The finish is striking and persistent.
